It’s Wednesday and we all know what that means-it is #WineWednesday. In this series I’ll share a few of my favorite wines. Mr. E&G and I enjoy learning and discovering new wine. I’m not an expert rather just a wine lover who loves to talk and share. We enjoy going to wine tastings but with Lady Elle that’s hard to do so we usually go by recommendations or trial and error. I start with A to Z Pinot Noir
Sometimes it’s just too risky to try something new—like when I am called at 3 p.m. to pick up my four-year old with hand, foot and mouth for the third time or when I run over a nail and have to replace the tire three days before Christmas. Yep, those moments call for a trusted bottle of vino, pronto. There is no time, or patience for that matter, for a bad glass of wine (yes, there is such a thing).
As I’ve mentioned before, we are partial to Pinot Noir. Lately Mr. E&G and I have been sipping the A to Z Oregon Pinot Noir. There is good reason it has twice been named to Wine Spectator’s Top 100 wines of the year.
A to Z Pinot Noir Tasting Notes
It’s earthy and fruity undertones aren’t too strong and are balanced with a nice acidity. We eat fish and salad a lot for dinner and this wine doest overpower the meal. The structure is on the lighter side of more established Pinot Noirs and we can usually find it for under $20.
Give it a try and let me know what you think or share your favorites!
